Sept. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Pete and Mac’s Recreational Resort for Pets in Avondale is holding a Yappy Hour to support Sun Valley Animal Shelter on September 16th from 4 – 7pm. $5 donation at the door. Raffle tickets on sale now.

Why support Sun Valley Animal Shelter? We asked Kim Henson and were told, "Since 1995 Sun Valley Animal Shelter has provided loving, compassionate care to unwanted dogs and cats of the northwest valley.  We strive to give comfortable, temporary housing, medical care and vaccinations, good food and companionship to the scores of homeless companion animals that need our help finding loving, permanent families.”

Please join us at Pete and Mac’s Recreational Resort for Pets in Avondale, AZ, on Thursday September 16th,  from 4 – 7pm, for some beach worthy drinks, snacks, and a chance to win some great prizes. Canine attendees will enjoy special pet friendly treats and canine companionship. A $5 donation at the door gets you and your dog into the party. Raffle tickets are available now; you don’t have to be present to win. All donations at the door and for raffle tickets go to Sun Valley Animal Shelter. Your very small donation can, and will, save pets’ lives. And socialization is good for your dog, and for you.

Henson continued “Dedicated volunteers are invaluable in assisting with the daily care and nurturing of our dogs and cats prior to finding a loving home.  We are proud to note that in the last several years we have increased adoptions from approximately 300 animals per year to over 1000 animals per year. We cannot fulfill our mission without community support like this event.”
