New Licensee supports village charity in Cambridgeshire

Following refurbishment new licensee Tim Deer celebrates and donates money to local recreation ground improvement charity.

Sept. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- New Licensee, Tim Deer has taken over the Greene King pub, The White Horse Inn at 118 High Street, Barton, Cambridgeshire, CB23 7BG and has great plans for its future.

The White Horse Inn pub has been redecorated throughout and renovated outside to provide a fresh new look and feel to the premises.  With our new Chef Shane Hewitt Tim and the team plan to provide a great value food offering in a relaxed atmosphere for the local people and Cambridge tourists.

To celebrate the completion of all building works in Phase I of the development the team at The White Horse Inn invited the whole of the village of Barton and surrounding villages to come and try a taster menu and also participate in some fun and games.   On the night over 100 people turned out to support the pub. A donation to the Barton Recreation Ground Improvement Group was made for every drink sold which totalled £226 (cheque to be presented to the charity on Monday 20th September 2010.)

Speaking about their new venture, new licensees Tim said, “I am really excited about the future of The White Horse Inn and becoming part of the local community.  I really want to put the pub back on the map and we aim to work really hard to ensure The White Horse Inn is a pub to be proud of”.
