Sept. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Hundreds of participants from Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska will explore the nature of the terrorism threat in the US and share ideas for coordination and response to emergencies and disasters.

There are more than 40,000 members found in independent chapters across the US.  At more than 960 members , the Minnesota chapter is one of InfraGard’s largest.

The exercise will have three specific goals: help participants understand the local and global threat of terrorism, identify gaps and opportunities in information-sharing and emergency response processes and discuss long-term goals  to reduce vulnerability, coordinate response, collaborate on preparedness and maximize limited resources.
"The focus of this exercise will be critical infrastructure -- those systems like power and telecommunications -- that are vital to all aspects of daily life." said Chris Terzich, President of the InfraGard Minnesota Members Alliance. "Our exercise involves multiple states because critical infrastructure sectors are interdependent and do not stop at state lines."
