Richmond Hood Company Presents Nyc Arts Cypher’s M.u.r.a.l.

Sept. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Richmond Hood Company (RHC), a Staten Island, NY based urban action sports boutique unveils M.U.R.A.L., an award-winning and inspiring arts documentary created by NYC Arts Cypher, a Staten Island based non-profit organization committed to promoting positive values through arts and entertainment programs, projects and events. The evening’s celebration will seamlessly showcase the impact that art, film and hip-hop have within urban communities. Immediately following the screening taking place on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Richmond Hood Company – 821 Castleton Avenue, Staten Island, NY, at 7:00pm, M.U.R.A.L. students will unveil their canvas exhibition and newly completed RHC building masterpiece.

M.U.R.A.L. (Motivate. Understand. Realizing. Artists. Learn.) is a series of workshops designed and operated by NYC Arts Cypher for young teens (ages 14 – 18) to connect with professional urban artists. A forum that allows local youth to break away from vandalism and foster a unique and safe arts environment. “We believe that every young person has the potential to make significant contributions to their respective communities. Each of them deserve an opportunity show, prove and succeed, explained Charlie Balducci, CEO and founder of NYC Arts Cypher. Each of their accomplishments help build MURAL, a film that carefully documents the growth and successes of our organization and its most important members – today’s youth!
