Sept. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Agilex Technologies, Inc. (Agilex), a leading provider of mission and technology solutions to the national security, healthcare and public sectors, announced today that it was recently awarded a SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) prime contract.  This Multiple Award Contract (MAC) is used by the U.S. Navy to address ongoing engineering, technology and program management requirements across twenty-two functional areas.  Agilex expects to build upon this contract to expand its successful relationship with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) as well as other naval entities.

“Agilex is a proud leader in military healthcare,” said Larry Albert, President of Agilex’ Healthcare Sector business.  “Navy Medicine’s mission is incredibly complex as it needs to ensure force preparedness globally, provide world-class care to the wounded Warfighter and protect both forces and homeland from a host of environmental threats.  As our tested and skilled resources for advancing this critical undertaking are unsurpassed, we are excited to participate in the SeaPort-e contract.”

Based on agile software development best practices, Agilex has partnered closely with SPAWAR over the past year to develop new and more effective approaches to solution delivery.  This model has delivered significant advances in time-to-value, quality and risk mitigation.  Agilex has also played an important role in the development of the Veterans Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER), the joint solution for exchanging medical records between the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Agilex’ portfolio for SeaPort-e includes software development, systems integration, enterprise architecture and program management services.  With deep experience in all facets of military healthcare, Agilex also offers proven solutions and specialized resources for health information exchange, electronic medical records, claims adjudication, clinical workflow and decision support.  Other key capabilities for the SeaPort-e community include cybersecurity, application and datacenter modernization, enterprise mobility solutions and intelligence analytics.

SeaPort-e is designed to streamline and simplify the acquisition of critical professional services by contract participants.  They include the Navy Systems Commands – NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC and NAVSUP – as well as the Office of Naval Research, the United States Marine Corp (USMC), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and select others.  NSWC Dahlgren is the central SeaPort-e contracting office with each Activity issuing task orders independently.
