West Coast Rock Hits Canadian Coastal Music Scene

Sept. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Duncan, British Columbia – August 26, 2010 – Canadian music promoters, West Coast Rock hailing from Vancouver Island, B.C., have announced the recent release of their new website found at: http://www.westcoastrock.ca/ featuring local music artists and Indie bands. WCR has steadily and increasingly, been drawing the attention from discerning eyes within the west coast music industry including, but not limited to, recording studios, musicians, etc., since their inception in 2009. Having some of the best artists in the industry right in our backyard, little is yet known of who these west coast musicians are, due to lack of exposure to the general public.  That’s about to change. The substantial number and variety of highly talented bands currently presented on the West Coast Rock site, is a strong indication of what the WCR team has set out to achieve, namely, offering musicians a venue to promote their talent along with providing an eager public the unique advantage of experiencing the talent of both well-known west coast musicians and, up and coming new talent, ready to make their own mark.  

Owners, James and Gina Kelly, hope to further entice more musicians to the WCR family by offering services such as an artist bio page, streaming songs, and the ability to include photos and video on the West Coast Rock website. Guided by their deep love for music and their desire to support local artists and Indie bands along their sometimes, rocky (pun intended) journey, West Coast Rock intends to be at the forefront in helping these musicians during what they feel, is a critical juncture in west coast music. Their goal is to open a door and provide a bridge of understanding for these local artists and by doing so, strive to achieve even higher levels of performance. An excellent case in point was in the recent and well-received, West Coast Rock Fest on August 7th in Cobble Hill, attended by several hundred people entertained by no less than fifteen bands, including four headliners.  This all-day affair provided exceptional music and was met with enthusiastic reception. And, if the thousands of views the website has already received just within the last few weeks since its launch is any indication of where this company is going, this bodes well for those musicians striving to gain the exposure they’ve been working towards.
