By: Lint Center for National Security Studies This scholarship provides $1,500 to the winner to assist with tuition and other educational costs, a mentor from the Lint Center, as well as a one year subscription to STRATFOR. “Boris K has demonstrated a clear commitment to the defense of our nation and his essay on counterinsurgencies comes from a perspective of an experienced individual, with on the ground knowledge who can speak to needed operational and strategic reforms when addressing insurgencies,” His winning essay about defeating future insurgencies and the need for America to “adopt a fundamentally new, exponentially more cost-effective way of counterinsurgency” About the Jim and Anna Hyonjoo Lint Scholarship: The Jim and Anna Hyonjoo Lint Scholarship is the Center’s most prestigious and largest financial award, providing $1,500 to the winner to support tuition and other educational costs of the winner. This scholarship is offered to help further the education and career development of scholars, especially in the areas of International Affairs, Counterintelligence and National Security. Workers in these fields and their children are encouraged to apply with the goal of improving national security and global understanding.
