Sept. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Virtual Industries Inc., a leading supplier of manual vacuum handling solutions, introduces the VWWB-2A series of substrate handling wands.

Virtual Industries’ ESD-safe Push Button Wand Kit is ideally suited for handling substrates such as individual photovoltaic cells during the manufacturing process. The lightweight push-button wand is designed for connection to an in-house continuous vacuum system.

Operation is simple: First connect the vacuum hose to a vacuum source and to the rear of the tool. Next, install the press-fit handling tip that corresponds to the size of the substrate to be handled. Finally, hold the wand handle and gently lay the tip flat onto the substrate surface. The part is now firmly gripped for manual handling. To release it, simply depress the control button. Returning the wand to the stand when not in use shuts off the vacuum supply to conserve energy.

The price for the kit starts at US $309.70 and includes the wand, a vacuum hose, the VBM-2 holder and a substrate handling tip (customer’s choice).
