First Scrubs goes Social Media

Sept. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Starting next week, September 12, 2010, FirstScrubs.com will have a complete makeover starting with their YouTube.com page.  According to FirstScrubs.com, they plan on becoming the largest online retailer for nursing scrubs, medical scrubs, medical uniforms and accessories.  They recently started and Facebook and Twitter page and are now turning to YouTube for more personalization.

"We can't just stick with the norm when it comes to social media and connecting with our clients," says Kristen Lelle, owner of FirstScrubs.com.  "We have to connect with them verbally, let them see who we are and what we do.  We want to showcase our newest scrubs available on the market."  Kristen is a Registered Nurse in the Orlando area and wants to create the "By Nurses, For Nurses" type of relationship when it comes to FirstScrubs.com.

Opening recently due to ownership changes, the website has some changes it will undergo throughout the next few weeks.  The first and foremost change will the the layout of the site and the logo.  "We want a logo that is recognizable when seen at any location, not just on our website."  Apparently FirstScrubs.com is not stopping at e-commerce, they want to become the "Macy's" of nursing scrubs.  "We've come a long way so far and we have a much longer road ahead, but with the excellent staff and unbelievable customer service, we know we can become the largest nursing scrub and medical uniform provider in the United States in no time.

According to FirstScrubs.com, they give away coupon codes to Facebook and Twitter followers weekly.  Just last week they gave away a coupon code for 20% off entire purchases.  "We want to reward our followers for being so loyal.  Keeping one loyal customer is better than having 5 one-timers," says Peter Mitchell, co-owner and CEO of Lelle & Mitchell Inc.  Peter Mitchell and Philip Lelle has spearheaded the growth and development of FirstScrubs.com.  They plan on exponential growth over the next 24 months allowing them to start replicating their online presence to multiple states and cities throughout the United States.
