California Minutemen Raise Flag on National Patriots Day

Saturday September 11, 2010 the Minuteman Corps of California (MCCI) will host a flag raising event less than 100 yards north of the California & Mexico border in honor of National Patriots Day.

Sept. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- The event is open to all media outlets, and the general public with some exceptions. Speeches by various people in attendance will begin at noon Saturday and a flag raising event will commemorate the 5 years on the border protecting America from those who wish to do it harm, and for being at Camp Vigilance for 4 years.  The event will close at Camp Vigilance with awards given out and a hot dog & hamburger dinner at the 1850’s stagecoach where MCCI is headquartered during musters. MCCI has over 1 million man hours of border watch activity from its all volunteer organization, and has accounted for thousands of illegal alien apprehensions by local Border Patrol Agents.

MCCI is a local citizens border watch group like your local neighborhood watch program, they provide search and rescue training, first aid training, firearms safety, survival, CPR and other various training programs for its members to help keep them safe when in the field.  MCCI is accepting applications for membership into the organization, all racially orientated applicants need not apply as a extensive background check and vetting session applies to all members as well as a 6 month probation.  MCCI adheres to all local, state and federal laws and prohibits any type of discrimination within its membership or toward anyone in the public.
