Sept. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- PHOENIX (September 9, 2010) - Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. is pleased to announce that four of its attorneys, Don Bivens, Barb Dawson, Patricia Lee Refo and Neil Peck, have been named in the 2010 edition of The International Who’s Who of Commercial Litigators. Snell & Wilmer also holds three out of the four spots listed in Arizona through the publication.

The International Who’s Who of Commercial Litigators is published annually and sent to a targeted distribution network of thousands of corporate counsel worldwide and various law conferences. The online version will be available to view on www.WhosWhoLegal.com, attracting over 10,000 visitors per week translating into 1.5 million annual page views.

Don Bivens, a partner in the firm’s Phoenix office, handles complex litigation of all types and corporate investigations. He has tried cases involving securities fraud, patent infringement, trade secrets, lender liability, environmental liability, professional negligence, officer and director liability, products liability, employment discrimination, real estate and construction matters, significant estate disputes, business torts, and class actions. He also leads internal investigations for corporations and special committees of corporate boards on a variety of issues. Bivens received his B.A. in English from Yale University, where he graduated with magna cum laude recognition. He then went on to earn his juris doctor from the University of Texas School of Law.

Barb Dawson, a partner in the firm’s Phoenix office, has a practice focused on complex business litigation and internal investigations. Her areas of focus in commercial litigation include class actions, consumer claims and business torts, tax disputes, and matters involving international issues and non-U.S. parties. In conjunction with her internal investigation work for publicly traded companies, Dawson has experience with issues related to officer and director liability, derivative and securities claims, SEC and other regulatory inquiries, and corporate governance and compliance programs. Dawson is a co-chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. She also is a primary contact for the firm’s Financial Crisis and Recovery Team, International Group, and State and Local Tax Practice Group. She has also served as Judge Pro Tempore and mediator for the Maricopa County Superior Court.

Patricia Lee Refo, a partner in the firm’s Phoenix office, concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation and internal investigations, with experience in financial institutions litigation, professional malpractice defense, class actions, trade secret litigation, and commercial and business torts. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan with high honors and high distinction. She then went on to earn her juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, where she graduated with cum laude recognition. She is a former Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation and was appointed by then Chief Justice Rehnquist to the Advisory Committee on the Federal Rules of Evidence. The National Law Journal named her one of the nation’s Fifty Most Influential Women Lawyers.

Neil Peck, of counsel in the firm’s Denver office, concentrates his practice in complex civil and criminal litigation, including appeals, involving commercial, trade regulation, environmental, natural resources, white collar criminal defense, and international issues. He represents major American and international corporate clients, including corporate officers, in complex civil and criminal business litigation matters involving issues such as accounting fraud, foreign corrupt practices, environmental, natural resources, antitrust, and false advertising. Peck received his B.A. magna cum laude from Tufts University. He then went on to earn his LL.B from Yale Law School.
