By: Dean Martinetti This release sees the band evolving their sound with the current lineup of Gabriel McGahee (Vocals), Aaron Goforth (Guitars, backing vocals), Rob Bujak (Drums), Nick Young (Guitars), Scott Proctor (Bass) expanding on their already heavy sound with more groove oriented weaves in the music. The album was produced and recorded by Gabriel and Aaron in Gabe's home studio and is the first time the two have produced a full album together. The final result is a sonic assault on your ears, with bass that drives into your chest and a nice fat and thick guitar and bass line serving as a solid foundation for Mcgahees clean and crisp vocals. Castles for Crows features 7 hard hitting tracks including the single California and can be purchased online at iTunes, Napster and many other digital online outlets. The album is being distributed thru The Orchard for Rogue Records America with worldwide digital distribution. This release also moves the band into an almost all digital means of distribution of their music as the landsape for media and entertainment changes from brick and mortar to digital. "Digital distribution of music and video is becoming more the mainstream and usually is more cost effective in the long run for both the bands and the label." said Dean Martinetti Label owner and Manager. Then a small PC software company based in Cliffside Park NJ. The label was started as a way to distribute soundtracks for the game titles Screamin would produce. In August of 2000 the first release Pimp X – Boba Fett was put out to the world as a “Digital Only” album. One of the first on the internet. The album was downloaded via internet only worldwide and had 4 singles on the top 10 dance charts for Europe and America. The label then picked up 3 local NY / NJ acts that did not meet up to the labels expectations. In 2003 all other artists except Pimp X were dropped, the label only focused on Pimp X releases In 2004 Rogue Records and CDbaby partnered up for digital and retail distribution. ABOUT NOVA The sound of NOVA is exactly as you would imagine from the name. Big, bright and powerful. It's a heavy, anthemic, atmospheric and ever-shifting juggernaut that draws on the best of classic and contemporary hard rock. The band’s growing reputation as an amazing live experience in conjunction with the breakout success of their debut album "nepenthe" has garnered a dedicated following and mainstream buzz that continues to grow.
