FREE Gas contest extended to give travelers relief from pump prices
The Mansfield & Richland Convention & Visitors Bureau announced today that in response to rising gasoline prices, it is extending its popular Gas Card Contest through the end of October.
Mansfield has numerous events in the next couple of months that offer the perfect opportunity to shoot photos to upload for the contest:
· Great Mohican Indian Pow-Wow, Mohican Reservation Campground, Fri., Sept. 17-19; Canoe, camp and celebrate the 26th Annual Great Mohican Indian Pow-Wow
· Ohio Heritage Days at Malabar Farm State Park, Sept. 25-26; Get to know Ohio’s Heritage with 75 traditional crafters, antique tractors and living history
· Prairie Peddler Festival, Oct. 2-3 and Oct. 9–10; More than 170 traditional costumed craftsmen demonstrate and sell their handmade items in a beautiful wooded setting, excellent food cooked over open fires, continuous country-style entertainment;
· "DEATH ROW" Haunted Prison Experience at the historic Ohio State Reformatory, Sept. 24- Oct. 31: Thurs. 7– 11 p.m., Sat. 7– midnight, Sun. 7–10 p.m. Admission Thurs. and Sun.: $15; Fri. and Sat., $17.
Travelers who have visited Mansfield in the past year are encouraged to upload a photo of themselves and their family or friends experiencing any of the region’s unique attractions or recreation venues. Those who include when they visited and what they liked best about their experience will be entered to win one of a dozen $50 gas cards – enough to drive 200 miles.
