New Model of the Hyundai Tuscon for the 2011 Year

Sept. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- As an expansion for the 2011 lineup, Hyundai is introducing an all-new entry-level GL model for the Hyundai Tuscon. In true Hyundai form, the Tuscon created a well-balanced vehicle for small families looking for a safe and reliable vehicle.

This five-passenger model will be equipped with a powerful, fuel-efficient 2.0 Theta II four-cylinder engine and will only be available in front wheel drive (FWD). The Tuscon GL will make 23 city/31 highway mpg fuel economy.

The Tuscon combines dynamic, sculpted, performance-oriented styling with thoughtful everyday utility to create a vehicle that will change the way consumers, especially younger car buyers, think about compact crossovers. This GL model will add to a new generation of Tuscon drivers.
As for the other two models, they will receive new features as well. The Tuscon Limited and GLS feature the Theta II 2.4-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder engine boasting an impressive 22 city/31 highway fuel economy.

As a first this year, the Tuscon integrates Hyundai’s first available panoramic sunroof, touch-screen navigation and a Bluetooth hands-free phone.

The Tuscon was engineered to be more fuel efficient that its chief competitors like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. The Tuscon accomplishes this while having a longer wheelbase than the Honda CR-V, ford Escape and Subaru Forester.

The Tuscon applies life-saving safety technologies as standard equipment to keep its passengers safe and out of danger. A total of six airbags are positioned in the Tuscon’s interior. Dual advanced frontal airbags are complemented by front seat-mounted side-impact airbags and roof-mounted side-curtain airbags will rollover sensors that cover both the front and rear seat rows.
