Sept. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- – Paris Hilton has performed magic before -- she was sawed in half on the reality TV series, “The Simple Life,” by illusionist and escape artist Curtis Lovell II.  For a cool $1 million, perhaps she could purchase the prop used in that successful stunt to cut down her recent drug charges.

Lovell has listed on eBay the apparatus he used with Hilton on season four of “The Simple Life” and he's asking $1 million. The winning bidder will receive the illusion known as “Modern Art” that Hilton rehearsed and performed on her television show. This trick creates the illusion of an assistant being sawed in half while standing upright.

Hilton and her nightclub mogul boyfriend Cy Waits of the Tryst and XS clubs at the Wynn and Encore Resorts were arrested Aug. 27 in Las Vegas.  Upon hearing the news, Lovell recalled working with Hilton and the enthusiasm she expressed about being sawed in half.

“She loved the idea of creating two Paris Hiltons, and she was a perfect assistant!” he said.  He added he is sorry her illusion wasn't a vanishing act, which might be more helpful to her with her current legal problems.

The prop being auctioned on eBay has been involved in many adventures and was featured by other artists on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and the World Magic awards. Lovell believes that the time has come for this quintessential piece of entertainment history to be retired to a private collection, entertainment museum or a showcase.

n light of the nature of Hilton's recent charges, Lovell will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale to the drug rehabilitation charity The Phoenix House in New York, the same charity that Beyonce Knowles donated $4 million to in 2008 for her related drug issues.
