Health Impacts of Mobile Phone Use?
Launch of new 'air' low radaition headset for mobile phones. Reduces SAR radiation by 99% compared to normal phone use
We have a proven solution that reduces SAR* radiation exposure from mobile phones by 99%.
There are of course ways of avoiding putting a mobile to our heads… you could use the hands free facility, privacy goes out the window. Bluetooth is another solution, but again you are placing a transmitter close to the head for extended periods. The final solution is use a wired hand-free headset, but the cable can act like an aerial and promote EMF close to the ear.
We have developed for the UK market an innovative solution that minimises the risk, a solution that reduces the SAR radiation exposure compared to normal phone use by over 99%.
Our ‘air’ low radiation headset uses conventional technology in a rather ingenious way. This low radiation headset plugs into the mobile as normal with a wire connection, but part way along the cord the signal goes into a unique ‘conversation module’ that turns the ‘electrical’
We have had these headsets tested by one of the UK’s foremost testing facilities to compare the SAR exposure against normal phone use and the results confirmed a 99% reduction in SAR exposure.
There are currently over six billion mobile phone devices in use worldwide, with over 70 million in use in the UK alone. All the independently funded studies that included longer-term users (10 years or more use) have shown an association between brain tumour incidence and mobile phone use. However, there have also been a number of studies of short-term mobile phone use which have not been conclusive. This has led to the formation of a cohort study on mobile communications (COSMOS) which forms part of the Mobile Telecommunications and Health Research (MTHR) Programme. This international study will run for 20-30 years and will follow the health of at least 250,000 participants aged 18-69 in five European countries. The UK arm of COSMOS is being led by a research team from Imperial College London.
Therefore, we will have to wait years until there is decisive proof one way or another. At present phone users have little or no guidance. Advice from European Health departments differ from recommending minimal use to comments such as ‘there is no conclusive proof there is any health risk’.
Many companies are now supplying their staff with mobiles as their sole method of contact. Going forward this could generate Health & Safety issues as this turns these staff members into heavy phone users.
There is no doubt about it that mobiles and this sort of technology are here to stay, our ‘air’ low radiation headset will give users a choice, a way to continue to use their mobiles whist minimising risk until there is conclusive proof.
Initially we are launching a model suitable for iPhones and Blackberry’s with other models suitable for other mobiles launching over the coming weeks.

Mobile phones are great; with over six billion in use worldwide they are here to stay and continue to increase in popularity, being an integral part of all our lives. However there is growing international concerns about the possible long term side affects of mobile phone use. It is these concerns that have led to the development of our innovative ‘air’ low radiation headsets that will keep these potentially harmful emissions away from your head and brain – none of us want to be a hot head!
