Sept. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Fuoco Group Director Joel Ackerman speaks at the Real Estate & Construction Advisors Association in the Green Building series to discuss Recent Developments and Current Methodologies in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 3, 2010.  Conference attendees and speakers will be professionals who represent regional green building councils, property management, design and consulting companies.

"Now that the business for green buildings has become well established, the next major focus of the green building movement is to know what financial incentives are available on the Federal, State and Local level which can help pay for improvement for both green-rated and green-labeled buildings and especially non-green rated buildings," explains Joel Ackerman, Director of Fuoco Group - one of the region's leading accounting and consulting organizations.

"High-level rated green buildings need to improve their actual performance." With existing buildings, it's easy to evaluate how much energy and water they use. "New buildings should be held to the same performance standard as existing buildings," he added.

He will be discussing the business case for green building, trends accelerating green building adoption, marketing commercial along with residential green building services and projects, understanding and using LEED standards, green site and structure planning, the new economics and finance of renewable energy for buildings. As well as, the business case for commercial green property management.

Joel specializes in the real estate industry, specifically helping property owners minimize their tax liabilities through Cost Segregation Studies and Energy Efficiency Studies. His experience also encompasses taxation of individuals, corporations, and not-for-profit organizations.
