Burlesque Claims San Pedro at Warner Grand Theatre

Sept. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Miss Sass A Frass and a bevy of beautiful burlesque dancers will take to the Warner Grand Theatre on September 17 & 18 at 8PM joined by comedians and singers.  SIXTH STREET BURLESQUE - A RETURN TO 1941 is a journey back into time.  It imagines that on Monday, January 20, 1941 amid WWII, and the third inauguration of F.D.R., a group of burlesque performer’s band together in San Pedro to throw a “BurleyQue” to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Warner Bros. Theatre (now the Warner Grand Theatre).

Local tap sensation and comedian, Fred Crawford leads a gaggle of talent that includes, Amy Bolton, Terese Bisignano, Kenneth James Taylor, Carla Negri, Suzzanne Cordasco-Atwood, Evelin Carajal, Stamford Hill, and more, with live accompaniment by The Relevant Jazz Trio, in a production directed by Ray Buffer.

Comic sketches of the period, are followed by songs of the day, sung live, and danced to by great burlesque performers.

Only 18 & over will be admitted due to adult humor and partial nudity.  Must show ID.  Beer and wine are available at concessions staffed by Sacred Grounds Café.
