Teri Newman Visiting Tamms for a Town Hall September 7th
Republican Congressional Nominee Teri Newman will be visiting the ignored southern end of the Illinois-12 district at a town hall meeting. Alexander and Pulaski counties have been ignored by the sitting Representative for two decades.
"I'm looking forward to meeting with the people of the South end of the district as they've been ignored by my opponent for a number of years" stated Mrs. Newman "and Jerry Costello actually told these hard-working people that as long as he had East St. Louis, he didn't need them, which I find outrageous from an elected official and this partially explains the huge lead I have in the south end of the district." she continued.
Mrs. Newman is in a very close race with the beleaguered incumbent who is suffering the consequences of unpopular votes on spending, health care and questions about his campaign finances that are a Who's who of union PACs and big business donations. The anti-incumbent mood and the detested Heath Care bill vote along with his record of votes supporting illegal aliens and big spending are sounding the death knell for the incumbent who is fighting to remain in power. Mrs. Newman is gathering support from all sides as the citizens have tired of "King Jerry" and are looking for a new voice in Washington.
"I've built my businesses on responsiveness and accessibility which I will be bringing to Congress" said Mrs. Newman, as her popularity with the voters continues to climb, "and my home phone number is on all of my campaign documents so that I can always be reached if I am needed" she added.
Mrs. Newman's outspoken criticism of Obama-care and the fiscal irresponsibility of Washington is resonating throughout the district as Costello frantically throws taxpayer dollars at the district that has soured on his message and is looking to Mrs. Newman for the kind of leadership America so desperately needs in these hard times. Latest polls show her in a virtual tie with the incumbent and his disapproval ratings are enormous as the district struggles with the Obama recession, high taxes and job losses. Fleeing residents and businesses are stripping the deeply-in-debt state of the resources it needs the most in these hard times and the voters are eagerly anticipating the November 2, 2010 elections to vent their wrath on the Democratic party incumbents that are viewed as responsible for America's economic woes.
