New General Manager at Hyatt Regency Dubai & Galleria

Hyatt Regency Dubai Appoints Michael von Siebenthal General Manager.

Sept. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Hyatt Regency Dubai is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael von Siebenthal as its new general manager.  Michael, a Swiss national from Saanenmöser, has had a long career in international hotel operations and many years’ managerial experience with leading five-star Hyatt hotels across the world.  The regions in which he has worked include Asia Pacific (Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Mariana Islands and Japan) and Latin America (Mexico).

Michael joined Bali Hyatt in Indonesia as the director of food & beverage in 1988 before being promoted to executive assistant manager – food & beverage at Grand Hyatt Jakarta.  His next appointment was in 1993 as general manager at Hyatt Coral Grande in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  Following an assignment as manager at Hyatt Regency Guadalajara, he was appointed resident manager of Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok in October 1994.

Before joining Hyatt Regency Dubai as its new general manager, Michael held the position of general manager at Hyatt Regency Bandung, Hyatt Regency Kuantan, Hyatt Regency Saipan and Grand Hyatt Fukuoka.

A graduate of the Lausanne hotel School in Switzerland, Michael is trilingual in German, French and English.
