New iPhone Application for Kids: The Bronto Family Adventure Released by Developer, Aqility Group.

Sept. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- BOSTON, MA. (September 1, 2010) – Aqility Group announced the release of its second iPhone application for kids, called The Bronto Family Adventure. The app tells the story of Jax Bronto, a baby Brontosaurus that becomes accidentally separated from his family in the wild, and must find his way through a prehistoric mountainside. Designed specifically for children ages 3-7, the app is an interactive learning and playing tool, and combines reading and story-based gaming in an innovative proprietary format, called READ and PlayTM. The READ and PlayTM format keeps kids engaged longer and more deeply than either standalone children’s reading apps or ordinary games.  The Bronto Family Adventure is available for purchase in the iTunes App Store for $2.99.

With the ability for children to either hear the story read aloud by the narrator or to read the text themselves, all pages of The Bronto Family Adventure are richly illustrated with bright colors that appeal to target age groups. “The playful animations and colorful illustrations draw children into the story” adds Mr. Kesler. “The upbeat music sets a friendly mood for young users.” Regarding the moral of the story, Mr. Kesler continues, “Bronto Adventure instills the value of family and teaches children a valuable lesson.”

The game section of the app ties into the story – after reading about Jax’ adventure in the jungle, children search for Jax around boulders and behind foliage. Tapping these objects on the screen reveals what’s behind them. The goal of the game is to locate Jax in as few tries as possible, and children are met with encouraging music and rounds of applause when Jax is revealed.

“This is not a typical iPhone reading app,” comments Mr. Kesler. “The READ and PlayTM system is a new approach to kids gaming and brings an engaging twist to young-audience literacy applications. It adds a new dimension to the experience when children can go on their own hunt for Jax in the game section of the app. The game is a continuation of the story. And since Jax’ location changes with each new try, kids stay entertained for long periods of time.”
