GOVgreen Conference and Exposition announces new affiliate: USGBC - National Capital Region Chapter

GOVgreen's most recent affiliate is U.S. Green Building Council - National Capital Region Chapter. USGBC-NCR membership includes architects, engineers and contractors working with federal, civilian and military agencies.

Sept. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Alexandria, VA - GOVgreen is proud to announce our most recent affiliate:  U.S. Green Building Council - National Capital Region Chapter.  As an affiliate, USBGC - National Capital Region (USGBC - NCR) is providing speakers and programming for GOVgreen's facilities track.  Speakers include:

“USGBC - National Capital Region membership includes architects, engineers and contractors working with a range of federal, civilian and military agencies," says Ann Seltz, President, Center for Environmental Innovation and Leadership.  "We're delighted to have the benefit of their expertise and have added several new panels as a result of their contribution."

The GOVgreen Conference and Exposition is the first ALL Government, ALL Green event to focus exclusively on providing real-world solutions for all government professionals charged with implementing EO 13514. Located in Washington, DC to provide easy access for the widest range of government professionals, GOVgreen’s programming—free to credentialed government and military professionals-- focuses on energy, transportation, conservation, facilities and workforce management. The more than 30 educational sessions will include panel presentations, interactive workshop sessions and moderated discussions with 70 speakers drawn primarily from federal agencies. The exhibit floor will feature 200 exhibitors with over 1000 products. Exhibitors include Schneider Electric, Herman Miller, Bradley Corporation, Constellation Energy, Water Management, Ameresco Federal Solutions and more.  In addition, the exhibit floor will feature a new green product showcase (Extreme Green Pavilion) as well as prototype presentations (Green Alert).
