Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- CONCORD, CA, August 31, 2010 – A new online community designed specifically for churches and faith based organizations will launch on September 1, 2010. “ConnectInSpirit®” (CIS) will provide a safe and secure atmosphere for church leaders and members to effectively communicate. In an era where many attend “mega” churches, congregate with hundreds, sometimes thousands of members on Sunday during worship service, founders of CIS have found that many attend services and are not building personal relationships with other parishioners outside of the polite Sunday smile and nod hello.
As the current economy has impacted so many families across the nation, founders have also determined that many members of churches are more apt to reach out and request assistance from churches if there were a more intimate process in place. CIS provides a more personable experience for churches and its members as many experience tough times. With CIS from the comfort of their own homes, members can now reach out to pastors, church officials, ministry leaders, request prayer, read reflections, as well as request help when in need.
“We found a great need for such a community, as Christians we thought about how we can communicate with our members after service or on the weekend.  With social media having such a vast impact on the way we all live, we decided the church needed such an environment, but it needed to be private – with that CIS was the answer.” Says CEO Edwin Vincent. “We are certain that the advantages offered by CIS will surpass church members’ desire to communicate on mainstream social media sites, like Facebook or My Space.”
ConnectInSpirit® provides a hearty list of advantages for churches to create their own personal sites.  Churches have the option to implement fundraising initiatives, group discussions, photo sharing, options to blog and share.  One of the largest advantages is the security of knowing that members under 18 will not be subjected to inappropriate advertising or be at risk for strangers to communicate with them.
ConnectInSpirit® will launch on September 1, 2010 and has received overwhelming approval from churches and Faith based organizations awaiting the opportunity to connect. At present CIS has a major Christian and Catholic following and hopes to expand quickly into other denominations.
