Aug. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- (Boston, MA) Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts and The Sports Club/LA -Boston have teamed up once again to bring fitness fun to the Girl Scouts!Girl Scouts is happy to announce that The Sports Club/LA has created an educational health and fitness curriculum to train Girl Scout volunteers on how to teach their troops about fitness in a fun and interactive way.

Private Trainers, Tracy Mernin and Ann Bruck, from The Sports Club/LA -Boston developed an easy-to-follow and fun fitness curriculum, designed to help troop leaders set girls on a path to health and wellness. The complimentary trainings will take place in September at The Sports Club/LA located at 4 Avery Street in Boston. The 2-hour training sessions will be available only to Girl Scout volunteers, and will offer tips, ideas and tools volunteers will need to facilitate Girl Scouts earning the “Fun & Fit” badge.
The Girl Scout Fun & Fit badge teaches girls how to be fit, fun exercises and encourages routine exercising.  

The Sports Club/LA Girls Scouts Training course will include:
•   Training on the best ways to warm and cool down with stretches, how to perform exercises such as lunges, squats and sit-up, and ways to eat healthy.
•   Complimentary trainings held onsite at the The Sports Club/LA - Boston on either Thursday, September 23rd from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. or Thursday, October 28th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
•   An opportunity for volunteers to use the amenities and programs at The Sports Club/LA - Boston prior to the trainings.
