, two rapidly expanding online communities.
The decision to follow this course of action is based on the company’s strategy to expand its portfolio and footprint in Europe and Africa.
Paul Luff, country manager at SMC Networks South Africa, says the company believes in the inherent advantages of these social networking sites to gain exposure, advertise services and generate leads.
“There are risks to simply to making company information available online, without any consideration of the consequences or without taking any steps to regulate it. However, if decision makers adopt a cautious but determined approach and combine this with strategy, the results can be very positive for business,” says Luff.
According to Luff corporate South Africa is beginning to understand and appreciate the fundamental advantages of using social networking sites as part of communication and marketing strategies.
“We will use these platforms to inform clients, partners and customers about the latest company developments, products, industry trends, announcements, technical e-training and events,” he adds.
