Aug. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- The Diamond Volunteer Program, founded by top-producing Naples real estate agent Kelly Capolino, is currently accepting applications from non-profit organizations hoping to receive the 2011 Diamond Volunteer Award. The deadline for completed application is October 15th; winners will be selected by a panel and notified on or before November 1, 2010.

Created as a way to honor hard-working volunteers, the Diamond Volunteer Program is open to non-profits that are dedicated to making a positive impact on the community. Each year, three organizations are selected from the applicant pool. The winner of the Diamond Volunteer Award will receive a personal cocktail reception for up to 25 volunteers, a radio interview, press coverage, and a framed award. Capolino has also extended the award to include a 15% program referral gift -- a donation from her commission on any transaction stemming from a referral from a winning organization.

“Last year was such a success, so I’m glad to be starting a new season and looking over new applications,” said Capolino. “For any organization that wins, being a part of the Diamond Volunteer Program doesn’t end with getting the award; I stay in contact and follow the successes of the group. The referral gift is a great way for me to stay giving back to the organization for years to come.”

Non-profit organizations interested in being chosen should email: a short statement about their organization, which volunteers would be honored (i.e. – board members, special events volunteers, etc.), and why they would like to honor their volunteers in this particular way. Statements should be limited to one page and emailed to DiamondVolunteers@gmail.com before October 15th.

“The 2010 Diamond Volunteer Winners were Baby Basics of Collier County, The Penny Bear Company, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida.” Capolino adds, “Volunteers are always giving back to the communtiy; this is my way to give back to them!”
