Aug. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- The 2010 Acura ZDX shares a platform with the ever-popular MDX, though you wouldn't really know it just by looking. The ZDX sits in a class of it's own -- right next to the famous BMW X6. It comes in three different trim levels Base, Technology and Advance. The base model starts at $46,355.00, and standard equipment includes 19-inch wheels, automatic xenon headlights, heated outside mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, ambient cabin lighting, a back-up camera with a rearview mirror display, a thick leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, heated eight-way power front seats, leather seat upholstery and interior trim with stitching on the dash and door panels, a trip computer, Bluetooth, power liftgate, an eight-speaker stereo with an in-dash six-CD changer, satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack. The Technology Package comes in at $50,855.00 and comes with keyless ignition and entry, a navigation system with real-time traffic and weather, a multiview back-up camera, and an upgraded Acura/ELS surround sound stereo with a built in 15GB hard drive. At the top of the line comes the Advance Package, which starts at $56,905.00 and includes electronically adjustable suspension dampers, a blind-spot warning system, adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated front seats and a sport steering wheel, as well as all the standard features included in the Technology Package. Standard safety equipment for the 2010 Acura ZDX includes antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and active front head restraints.

The MSRP on this individual vehicle is $56,905.00. This Acura ZDX comes with the Advance Package and has the following options installed:

Acura's sexiest car in their line-up now is the ZDX, and we think of that as a good thing. The only downside to the eye catching style and sleek appearance of this crossover is that interior space and versatility were sacrificed during design. With a glass half-full point of view looking inside the ZDX you'll find one of its most appealing aspects, as long as you get to ride in the front. The cluster layout shares elements with other Acura products, like the MDX, but the center control panel is defiantly distinct as it springs to life on start-up from a deep and elegant black to a dazzling illumination of buttons and knobs. The beautiful hand-stitched leather trim on the dashboard, center console and door panels adds a nice touch of luxury and style.

Now on the other hand, if your glass is half empty and you're sitting in a ZDX then it's safe to say you're probably sitting in the back. With such a low drop in the roofline and high floors with low seats, if you can even get in without hitting your head, you'll find the feel more like that of a sports car. Rear legroom is sparse and seating is cramped, making the claim of being a "four door coupe" a little too realistic for our taste. Either way you look at it, the ZDX is a worthy crossover that starts out well below the starting price of the BMW X6, and if you don't need the German version's bells and whistles to enjoy a four door coupe/crossover then this is defiantly what you've been waiting for.
