Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union Makes Donation to Port Henry's Labor Day Celebration

The Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union (TFCU) recently presented a check to the Moriah Chamber of Commerce to help fund the Labor Day Celebration in Port Henry.
 
Aug. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- TICONDEROGA, NY – The Ticonderoga Federal Credit Union (TFCU) recently presented a check to the Moriah Chamber of Commerce to help fund the Labor Day Celebration in Port Henry.

Upon receiving a letter from the Moriah Chamber, asking for donations to keep the tradition alive, Pamela Nolan, Ticonderoga Federal’s COO, approved the donation.  "We are happy to support this community celebration again this year," said Pamela Nolan.  

In addition to their monetary donation, the TFCU will sponsor Penelope the Clown, who will provide free face paintings and balloons to children at the parade on Sunday, September 5th.  

Marcy Eichen, the credit union's Port Henry Branch Manager, presented the check to Jack Woods, President of the Moriah Chamber of Commerce and one of the main organizers of the Labor Day event.

A longstanding tradition in Port Henry, this Labor Day Weekend marks the 120th anniversary of the community celebration.  The two-day event Sept. 4 and 5, sponsored by the Moriah Chamber of Commerce, features a parade, fireworks, music, and plenty of activities for all ages.
