Infoyogi's President, Rao Tallapragada is awarded the title “SiliconAndhra Sahitya Bharati”

Aug. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Infoyogi LLC’s President, Mr. Rao Tallapragada is awarded the prestigious title “SiliconAndhra Sahitya Bharati” for his contributions to Telugu literature.

October 3, 2009. The “SiliconAndhra Sahitya Bharati” title was presented to Rao Tallapragada, President, Infoyogi LLC, on October 3, 2009, in a elaborate function of the SiliconAndhra’s annual Andhra Cultural Festival, held in the Flint Center auditorium, Cupertino, CA. About 2000 people witnessed the event who attended the Andhra Cultural Festival

This award is considered a very prestigious Title/award among the Andhra/Telugu Diaspora community. SiliconAndhra is gained popularity with its inclusion in to Gunnies Book of World records when it performed the “Laksha Gala Sankeerthanarchana” in which 160,000 people sang on the same stage as a single group. The organization also got another Gunnies Book record for performing the Kuchipudi dance by the largest group. The organization has been drawing laurels from all parts of the world for its rich contributions to the Telugu culture and literature. Joining SiliconAndhra now has become synonymous with paying tribute to the cultural heritage of Andhra/Telugus. The group conducts cultural programs every alternate month and is running the largest Telugu school outside India.


Rao Tallapragada has served as the Secretary of SiliconAndhra in the past and now has also been serving as the Chief Editor of Sujanaranjani, a Telugu-Monthly-Web-Magazine that SiliconAndhra has been running for the past 5 years. Rao Tallapragada has contributed content to many cultural programs, as a poet, as a writer, as an editor, as a singer, as an actor, as a volunteer and as a leader.

Mr. Tallapragada is particularly known for writing padyam; a meter based literary poetry with several rules and conditions, which is known for its poetic beauty. He wrote several Telugu Songs, Telugu Ghazlas and released 3 CDs. In addition he wrote several stage plays, essays, and stories.
