Mayne Stage continues to introduce new acts to its star-studded fall roster
 
Aug. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Mayne Stage continues to introduce new acts to its star-studded fall roster including the addition of  Talvin Singh, B1GT1ME and Old Canes. Mayne Stage also announced The Loneliest Monk as the opening act for Drew Andrews & The Spectral Cities October 8. Tickets to new shows are on sale this Friday, August 27 at 10 a.m.

World Music Festival Chicago—Indian Classical Fusion, September 29
In conjunction with the World Music Festival Chicago, Talvin Singh performs Indian classical fusion at Mayne Stage Wednesday, September 9 at 8 p.m.

Talvin Singh is perhaps best known as the father of modern Asian electronica music, though he is also a highly celebrated tabla player, record producer and visual practitioner. B1GT1ME at Mayne Stage, October 6
B1GT1ME makes its Mayne Stage debut Wednesday, October 6 at 8:30 p.m.

Chicago-based classic rock band, B1GT1ME, performs the music of Tom Waits. Their show features unusual instrumentation as tuned fire extinguishers, Theremin, trashcans, and a band comprised of Chicago’s finest musicians, boasting an impressive pedigree in the local and national jazz and rock scenes. The group formed in 1996 and was named after Tom Waits' 1988 live album, “Big Time.” The group has exclusively performed Tom Waits songs since 2009. Old Canes, October 16
Old Canes brings its indie-rock/Americana sounds to Mayne Stage Saturday, October 16 at 8 p.m.

Old Canes is a musical band comprising frontman Christopher Crisci (of The Appleseed Cast) on vocals and guitar, Nathan Richardson on drums (The Casket Lottery), Jordan Geiger (of Minus Story) on various instruments, and Aaron Coker on percussion. Supporting Acts Announced
The Loneliest Monk, Chicago’s art rock duo, opens for Drew Andrews & The Spectral Cities Friday, October 8. Michelle Morales on cello, keyboard and vocals, has performed with Phillip Glass, Kanye West and The Foo Fighters. Morales is joined by Miles Benjamin on percussion, vocals and tiny pianos, who together bring a cool, haunting performance with elaborate costumes, masks and avant-garde sets.
