Aug. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Sacramento, CA - Sacramento has seen its fair share of big time cuts to education.  Almost 60 percent of the schools surveyed in a California Department of Education survey reported cuts to instructional materials; some schools have eliminated books from the curriculum all together.  Nearly half the school districts across the State have eliminated the arts, music and drama as well as counselors and nurses from the staff.  In Natomas, 30 percent of the school teachers were laid off and all buses were removed, forcing parents to take their children or have them walk to campus.  Elementary libraries were also eliminated.
