Aug. 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Shoal Bay Resort & Spa are delighted to again play host to the largest gathering of wineries and LIVE jazz in the Port Stephens region at the 17th annual Shoal Bay Jazz Wine and Food Festival on Saturday 11th September, 2010.

Approximately 3000 jazz, wine and food lovers are expected to attend Shoal Bay Resort & Spa to sample wide variety of delectable Hunter Valley, Cross Regional Australian & for the first time this year, New Zealand wines,  complemented by delicious food, local produce and soulful jazz.  

Set against the perfect backdrop of the white sands of Shoal Bay and the pristine waterways of Port Stephens, the Shoal Bay Jazz Wine & Food Festival is a cultural experience not to be missed.  While enjoying some of the finest wines and fresh produce from the local area and beyond, wine experts will personally provide educational information on the wines being sampled as well as the history of the wineries from which they are produced.

Tantalise your taste buds with sumptuous local produce including seafood fresh from the Bay and a delicious range of cheeses from the Hunter region.

Relax and enjoy the extraordinary musical talent on offer by Jazz bands from the Newcastle and Sydney jazz music scene.  Free LIVE jazz acts will be playing the entire day:

Parents can take a load off whilst children are entertained by face painting and children’s activities at Occies Kids Club.  All the fun-filled festivities will be held indoors and undercover at Shoal Bay Resort & Spa to ensure even the slightest change in weather won’t affect a wonderful jazz, wine and food experience!  Start the weekend in style on the eve of Friday 10 September over the Robert Oatley Wines Four Course Degustation dinner in Catch Restaurant, priced at only $79 including four courses, four wines, petit fours & coffee.  Available Thursday – Sunday from 6pm, bookings recommended.

This year, the wine and food tasting part of the Shoal Bay Jazz Wine & Food Festival will be held on a single day, Saturday 11 September, from 10am-7pm leaving the Sunday free to relax and enjoy a leisurely alfresco brunch or Sweet Treats High Tea at Sandyfoot Café or a stroll along picturesque Shoal Bay beach.
