A New Breed Of Entrepreneurs Take The Palm Beach County Culinary Industry By Storm

Aug. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- The food and beverage industry is undergoing a revolution of sorts and Kyle Pintarelli of Rockstar Catering Company is in the forefront. Kyle, along with his team of chefs, events planners, and marketing specialists, represent a new breed of young, motivated and enterprising professionals, opening their own outlets bursting with fresh ideas based on a passion for food and good friends.

At the core of Rockstar is an entrepreneurial powerhouse that positions Rockstar at a level that no other caterer in the area can come close to. Kyle went back to his roots and brought in Chef Paul Theryoung from his hometown in New Jersey to be his partner in the kitchen as Chef de Cuisine.  Kyle’s long time family friend Cindy Weeks along with her two daughters Ashley Belford and Amy Davenport spearhead the design and events division, while Rachel Briggs handles all marketing and media relations.

Despite only having started 9 months ago, Rockstar’s catering clientele portfolio includes corporate juggernauts including Comcast, Smith & Barney, JP Morgan, and Aflac, worth Avenue retailers, nonprofit organizations, Supercar Experience, and the PoloPalooza fundraiser for ultra high net-worth socialites Simon and Elina Garber, owner of Chicago Carriage Cab.  Rockstar is also the exclusive caterer for the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, and manages the entire food and beverage operation for Cocktails & Dreams Bistro at the Windsor Gardens Hotel.

Cocktails & Dreams Bistro offers progressive American cuisine with global influences and a strong emphasis on fresh and local ingredients. Winner of the Palm Beach Post ‘Best of the Best’ award in 2009, Kyle’s menus and cuisine have recently been acclaimed by Dine Magazine as “showing a Cool Hand Luke-like audaciousness that rivals any of the growing trend of celebrity chefs we so frequently hear about”. Chef specialties range from the Maple and Cracked Pepper Grilled Pork Tenderloin, to Rockstar’s take on a low country classic, Shrimp with Smokey Peanut Butter Chipotle BBQ and Ancho Chile Cheese Grits.
Kyle and his team have big plans for Rockstar’s sophomore year, extending their stronghold on Palm Beach County’s foodie scene.

ABOUT CHEF KYLE PINTARELLI
A native of Bergen County, New Jersey, Kyle grew up knowing his way around a kitchen. His menus and cuisine have been acclaimed by local media and described by Dine Magazine as “showing a Cool Hand Luke-like audaciousness that rivals any of the growing trend of celebrity chefs we so frequently hear about”. He spent time as the Promotional Director at New York City’s legendary Limelight Nightclub along with stints at Webster Hall, Sound Factory, and the infamous Tunnel. It was here that Kyle developed his love affair with party and event planning. His current restaurant Cocktails & Dreams recently enjoyed a “Double A” rating by the Palm Beach Post. Always up for a challenge, Kyle delivers every time.


ABOUT CHEF PAUL THERYOUNG
Originally from Franklin Lakes, Bergen County, New Jersey, Chef de Cuisine Paul Theryoung was lured into the culinary world when his passion for food was recognized at an early age. Paul went on to train at the Culinary Institute of America, and the Florida Culinary Institute, where he developed his own unique culinary style. Paul has spent time in the kitchens of Vic & Angelo’s, The Ashley in Stuart, and New York City’s Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse. His culinary philosophy emphasizes the use of local farmers and the finest fresh ingredients, allowing the food to express itself.
