Tell us a little bit about your company and what you do.

I teach business owners how to unleash their own and their employee's untapped talents for career success. and I also teach job seekers how to apply unconventional and non-traditional approaches to successfully find their DREAM job.

What is business branding and why is it important for a small business?

Branding is a promise. It is the promise that you will deliver something that is truly unique, memorable and consistent. It is the collective messaging that enforces your own and your organization's values and belief system. It is reflected in all of your marketing, advertising, PR, communications...everything you do.  It must be communicated with all your people.


Do you think a business plan is necessary for a small business and why or why not?

Yes. A business plan is still a critical requirement. It provides a road-map, and is required for banks and investors. However, today's business plan is a much more condensed and summarized document then it used to be.  We're talking 5-10 pages, not 50-100.  It needs to convey management's expertise, the products and services being offered, target markets and strategies for acquiring and retaining clients. Forget the 5-year projections...in today's turbulent business climate, 5 year projections are meaningless. There should be 2-3 year goals with quarterly strategies.


What qualities do business owners need in order to be successful?

Persistence, mental fortitude, confidence, resources, a sense of human, ability to multi-task, ability to delegate, a solid support network, and unwavering faith in themselves.
