Aug. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- “Art Exhibition by Bohdan Borzemsky” opens Fri, Sept 3, at 7pm at the Ukrainian National Museum. Exhibit continues thru Sept 26, 2010.

The Ukrainian National Museum is pleased to present “Art Exhibition by Bohdan Borzemsky”.  Mr. Borzemsky is a graphic artist and a master in the technique of woodcuts. Recently, he  invented his own individual technique that he calls paper cuts, substituting heavy paper for wood.  The artist also utilizes watercolors and tempera in his woodcuts. Mr. Borzemsky's source of inspiration is his childhood fascination with the Hutsul region of Ukraine and its inhabitants, whose folk art had a decisive influence on his art.

Bohdan Borzhemsky first studied art at the Lviv National Institute of Art in Ukraine. He studied oil painting, drawing and graphic design at The Cooper Union Art School in New York. Mr. Borzemsky has won two Cooper Union Alumni Association Awards for the highest achievement in graphic art. He has also been recognized by the Library of Congress.  Mr. Borzemsky’s works are found in many private collections throughout the world.

The Ukrainian National Museum is located in the heart of the Ukrainian Village, at 2249 West Superior Street in Chicago.
