Guide to the Palm Beaches Wins the Silver Charlie Award!

Aug. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Orlando, Florida:  The Florida Magazine Association (FMA) honored the 2010 Charlie Award winners at the FMA Annual Publishing Conference & Exposition held at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando on Aug. 12th – 13th, 2010.  The awards were presented to Florida’s publications and their staff at the Charlie Awards Gala on Friday, August 13, 2010.

More than 600 entries were submitted for the 2010 Charlie Awards contest from 70 publishing firms in Florida.  Winning entries were evaluated by judges from across the country that specialize in magazine publication; many of who are journalism professors.  

The Guide to the Palm Beaches, the official magazine of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, received the silver award for “Best Custom Magazine”, for an association in the state of Florida. This is the eighth award the annual Guide and Membership Directory has received within the past twelve years. The Guide is published and produced in collaboration with Passport Publications & Media Corporation, a West Palm Beach-based publishing firm, which has published the annual magazine for the past sixteen years.

The Guide to the Palm Beaches is the premier business and relocation directory in Palm Beach County, with distribution to businesses, residents, people relocating to Palm Beach County and members of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.  This exciting publication lists Chamber members alphabetically and by business category.  As the ultimate resource publication, it provides rich content with up to date information about the arts and entertainment, real estate, government, the local economy and education in Palm Beach County.  It truly is a reflection of the quality of life we all enjoy.
