The Amway ‘pest’ is finally dead it’s safe to come out now!

Aug. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- 26 years ago a school friend knocked on my door and he was very nervous I thought he’d broken our window or was getting off with my girlfriend, but eventually I got it out of him that he wanted me to meet a friend of his who has an ‘amazing business.’
Well I turned up, listened to some bloke draw some circles and tell me I was going to get rich, and proceeded to show me a few products, a kitchen cleaner, I was like 17 and if my life depended on it I don’t think I could’ve told you where the kitchen was, a metal cleaner and some smelly stuff you sprayed on your clothes to keep you dry. It was 15 pounds to join then, but they were going to some cool parties so I joined.

After one of the fathers had found out about the parties and grounded the host, the parties consequently stopped and so I did not see the point of being in this club, so I asked and got my 15 quid back and that was my first foray into Amway.

Over the years I have met some lunatics in Amway having joined and left many times, but they in truth came and went, and I did meet some very affluent people who could fill a room with their sparkle and magic motivation and did very well indeed from Amway  and my gut feeling to this day is, it’s a vehicle like anything else and all the negative stuff you will read online is mostly from people who are trying to justify why ‘they’ could not do it and instead of looking at themselves and  found the company to be a big scapegoat. The same type of people who attack gays and are secretly hiding some ‘feelings’

About two years ago Amway was under investigation in the UK as some people felt that many distributors were making more money by having seminars and selling books at a profit rather than selling the products. Actually this particular 18 months proved a blessing in disguise for Amway UK because now they have changed almost completely, and for the better. I was shocked when I saw my friend’s income change dramatically. My friend like many struggled with Amway for years and spent more on books and traveling than he ever made profit, but was so deep in the system he would rather die than admit defeat. Now he is making real money the change in him is dramatic, and has so much more chance of progress and I, for one, like the new way Amway are doing business.

Historically you had to have people, and a lot of them, this is what spurned the ‘family pest’ preying on family and friends and never stopping rabbitting on about Amway because to make it, you needed to play the numbers, and ask everyone and I mean everyone, the bin man, the local tramp, everyone was on the list. Now however if you sell 100 pounds worth of products, you get 25 pounds back  so now the company is ‘product focusing’ and not people focused. So the original idea of multiplication is starting to work, if you sell 1,000 pounds worth of products a month you make 250 pounds for your self, now paid into the bank, the products are now shipped directly to the customer, it’s never been easier. Years ago you had to fake it to make it, and there were many phonies, but now the facts speak for themselves, when people see you making the profit they will follow suit. Another change: now Amway won’t let you recruit till you have proved you can sell products, another ‘forward step’.

Amway have also addressed their branding image and opened up a flagship store in London so you can take clients along and whatever they buy you get your commission, you can even send clients along for beauty seminars or to meet a top hairstylist. Amway business owners can now also use the offices in London free with free Internet.

The U.S. and the rest of the world are watching what’s happening in UK and I believe they will all follow suit as it’s had an outstanding effect on the way Amway is viewed across the world. Even Bangkok have passed plans for a new Amway shopping centre in Bangkok
