The First Mixed Martial Arts Event Ever to be Hosted at the FIU US Century Bank Arena


Miami, FL - Sept 18, 2010 – Mixed Fighting Alliance Promotions (MFA), the leading mixed martial arts promotions company in the South Florida marketplace brings mixed martial arts (MMA) for the first time to the Florida International University (FIU) US Century Bank Arena.  Scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 8:00 pm, MFA’s New Generation III main event will feature UFC Veteran, Steve “Hollywood” Bruno, whose pro fighter record of 13-5 will guarantee a heart pounding event.

The event will feature autograph signings by UFC Champion Thiago “Pitbull” Alves and the fight card is filled with nonstop pound-for-pound hard hitting mixed martial arts action featuring ten stellar bouts.  The co-Main Event will feature Yosdenis “Pink Panther” Cedeno vs. Derek “D-Rock” Schiffer, both driving an attempt to increase their winning records.  

The line up includes Yoislandy “Cuba” Izquierdo, currently undefeated and Mike Rio who is making his return debut to MMA after leaving the sport a year ago.  With a pro record of 3-0 Mike Rio is looking to fight his way back into the spotlight at MFA’s New Generation III.  Street fighter Rene “Whiteboy” Rodriguez, a former professional boxer with a 1-1 record, will make his pro MMA debut at New Generation III against Mario Vargas who’s known for his hands.  The two will mix their boxing skills with MMA for what is sure to be an exciting match.
