Aug. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- FDM Group triumphed at the IT Training Awards yet again this year, named silver winner for ‘Training Department of the Year 2010’. Directly competing with 5 other finalists:  IBM UK, Boots UK, Brewin Dolphin, British Gas and RICOH Netherlands, FDM secured its place amongst the best, defeating all of the FTSE finalists above (with the exception of RICOH, who was the gold winner).

Don’t be mistaken by FDM’s size, the IT services company may seem like a relatively small player within the industry, but this organisation continues to impress year-on-year, succeeding even in tough times. Whilst other companies report a loss, FDM reports financial and commercial success, due to its unique and robust business model. This year, FDM plans to recruit and train 400 aspiring IT Consultants, which equates to approximately 3.3% of the UK’s IT and numerical science graduates.

Commenting on the award, Rod Flavell, Chief Executive Officer of FDM said:
“FDM achieved a great deal in 2009, winning no less than six prestigious awards. However, receiving the silver accolade at the IT Training awards on the 4th February 2010 was a great achievement which involved defeating IBM, a multi-billion dollar company that I admire and respect.”

FDM demonstrated consistent high quality and innovation, which is key to winning the award. This is what the judges from Pardo Fox, Corollis and the IITT had to say:
“The judges were impressed with the rigour of its selection process, the strong business management and the excellent focus on quality delivery of separately tailored professional programmes. Evidence provided clearly shows a sound and growing business performance.”
