Video Corso Maya FaiStrada Releases Over 30 New Video Lessons for the Maya 3D Online Training
In less than a month from its beginning, the italian Online Maya 3D training distributed by FaiStrada gains well over five hours of new lessons. A complete project, the construction of a detailed Thompson Machine Gun, is featured in the new lessons.
This new section in the online Maya training has been created by Fabio Lanzillotta, an experienced Maya artist, graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari in Virtual and Theatrical Scenography. Fabio Lanzillotta is an experienced character animator and his core skills are in optical motion capture and Maya rigging. He also holds a State's Institute specialist certificate in textile and interior design.
"I had great fun teaching this project for FaiStrada and want to congratulate my students for sticking to the entire project", said Fabio Lanzillotta about the Maya training at http://www.faistrada.it/
The new training, well over five hours long, is the complete modeling, uv texturing and rendering tutorial for a Thompson machine gun. Fabio guides his students from the beginning, shooting the reference weapon and then building a detailed polygonal model in Maya. After modeling, the wooden parts are unwrapped and their UVs are sewed to build an accurate, and distortion free, UV map. In the third and last chapter, several advanced shader trees and lighting setups are analyzed and tested for the final Mental Ray rendering.
Following a classroom based FaiStrada training costs in excess of 100 USD per hour, depending on tutors and required resources. The new online learning platform allows everybody to attend the course recordings at a price that anybody can afford. It is FaiStrada's mission to provide advanced trainings that focus on techniques rather than tools.
Active since 2002, FaiStrada is Italy's top ranked provider of advanced eLearning trainings on 3D Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Cinematography, with trainings such as the popular http://www.faistrada.it/
