Aug. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- San Diego, CA (August 21, 2010) –Pacific American Academy (Pa’a)  Ho’olaule’a, marks the first community event to take place at Pacific American Academy Charter School.  The event will feature an exciting series of live Hawaiian entertainment and hula performances--free and open to the public.

"We are excited to present this new school that celebrates diversity and the Aloha way, an ideal school for City Heights and San Diego," says Margaret K. Sanborn, Executive Director and Founder of Pacific American Academy.

The Ho’olaule’a will be held from 11:00AM  to 3:00 p.m. at 4260 54th Street, San Diego 92115. The festivities will include great free food, as well as arts and crafts activities for the children and a range of special performances by local hula halau (dance troupes).

The staff at Pacific American Academy will be at hand to answer questions about the small school, small class sizes, and its emphasis on project-based learning along with any questions regarding the many remodeling efforts taking place at the site.

Prospective students and their families and other visitors will share the camaraderie, gorgeous weather,  hula performance, and luau.

"We're amazed and humbled by the overwhelming community support for our new great little school and are proud to be part of an event that helps to bring the community together and shares the aloha spirit," said Haley Hawthorne, a teacher at Pacific American Academy.
