The Islington Chamber of Commerce and Business Link Introduce Inspired Islington

Aug. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Islington is a phenomenally inspirational hub for business across the capital. To celebrate the inspirational journeys of the business people in and around the borough the Islington Chamber of Commerce have joined forces with Business Link to bring local established business owners “Inspired Islington”, a free business conference on the 26th August. With its diverse range of industries and business owners it makes sense that businesses come together in Islington to network and celebrate their successes.  In a time when the current climate has not been conducive to long term growth its only right that the Islington Chamber celebrates the businesses who have stood the test of time.  These businesses continue to provide valuable business services and products and employing thousands of people across the capital.  The event will be hosted by the renowned Business Design Centre; one of Islington’s landmark venues.

Inspired Islington is a half day conference bringing together growing and established businesses from across the capital together in an inspirational environment.  This is the place to feel motivated and to do business.  With Speed-Networking, Business Stands and extraordinary Key note speakers this is set to be an exceptional event.

Business Link will headline the day with an introduction into its new offering as a business support provider for established businesses. Our speakers are Phyllis Mills, Atiti Sosimi, Shireen Smith and Penny Bennett.  Atiti Sosimi is the founder and CEO of Distinctly Different, the foremost Personal Development social enterprise organisation, Distinctly Different, based in Islington.  Atiti is an author, of three published Personal Development, Educational and Motivational books available for general use across the Business, Education and Community sectors.  Phyllis Mills is a successful business woman and entrepreneur who quickly built her own successful manufacturing, retailing and ecommerce business.  Phyllis is also an active Director and executive committee member for the Islington Chamber of Commerce. Penny Bennett is a qualified image consultant and stylist, recognised for her personal fashion taste and flare. She works patiently with her clients to understand their needs and works tirelessly to find the clothes they need to look their personal best.  Shireen Smith qualified as a solicitor over 20 years ago, and founded Azrights in 2005. Shireen has had an international upbringing and a varied career, raised a family, qualified as a journalist, and lectured in Business law. She is interested in entrepreneurship, new technology and enjoys reading business books.
