Cheap Mobile Phones Will Soon Get Android and Windows Says Cheap Phones Leader

Aug. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Cheap mobile phones will be soon running Android, Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems according to China mobiles leader Chinavasion ( http://www.chinavasion.com/index.php/cName/mobile-phones/ ).

The Linux-derivative, Android OS is turning up on US 100 – 150 tablets and Mobile Internet Devices and Windows CE phones are now cheaper than ever.

No only this but the Symbian Foundation announced earlier this year that it would make its entire platform open source.

This marks the largest proprietary to open source shift in the world according to a Symbian Foundation spokesman.

This opens up several new worlds for cheap mobile China manufacturers according to Rose Li, PR manager for cheap mobile phone provider, Chinavasion.

"China mobile manufacturers have perfected the cheap cell phone," according to Chinavasion's Rose Li. "These new OS developments open up worlds of opportunities."

Previously cheap phone developers only had the Nucleus RTOS available when they developed a new phone priced at US 100 or lower according to Chinavasion's Rose Li.

"The Nucleus RTOS is a very capable OS but it doesn't have the same potential that Windows, or Android or Symbian has," according to Chinavasion's Rose Li.

"This could potentially be the most exciting development in the cheap mobile phone sector in years."

According to  Chinavasion's Rose Li this means that now cheap mobile resellers will be able to offer phones with many of the functions that have previously only been available on smart phones.

"Cheap mobile buyers can now get a mobile offices for the price of a cheap China phone," according to Chinavasion's Rose Li.

Some of the features cheap mobiles might expect included PC synch, productivity tools, online browsing, email, customizable phone applications amongst other tools.

Chinavasion's Rose Li said that the China mobiles trader would continue to offer high quality phones regardless of which OS it is running.
