Aug. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Entrepreneurs Duncan and Clare Edwards, inventors of the travel bag Trabasack, were thrilled to be invited to BBC Radio 2 on 13 August 2010. They travelled to the BBC Radio 2 studio, near the Post Office Tower in London.

Dominic Laurie, BBC Business Correspondent had contacted the couple to discuss their company's unique product, Trabasack, appearing on the show. The popular Drive Time afternoon show is usually hosted by Simon Mayo. Each week a new product or invention and its creator are featured on the show during the Innovation Slot at 6.30pm on Fridays.

On Friday 13 August the show was hosted by bubbly Liza Tarbuck who was standing in for Simon Mayo. After Dominic introduced Trabasack as an "extraordinary invention". Liza described the Trabasack lap tray and bag as “a terrific looking product, I'm very impressed with that".

Inventor Clare Edwards told how she came up with the idea saying "I'm a mum and I had a little boy in a buggy, I thought how can I keep him entertained in his buggy or a car seat. I wanted to get a play tray that was also a bag for storing toys and snacks."

Duncan Edwards, Clare's husband and co-founder of their company Equip-able Ltd, described the unique 'connect' tray surface option: "It has a soft surface that you can stick things to with Velcro, so that you can use it in a car and attach a DVD player to it for children"

Liza Tarbuck when on to highlight the versatility of Trabasack saying " You could even turn it upside to sit on it like a picnic chair" Dominic added "If you were a commuter you could use it on the train and work on it and then store things inside it."

Being a 'Design for All' product the award winning  http://www.trabasack.co.uk is useful for people of all different ages and abilities. It also comes in different shapes; from a smart iPad sized one called the 'Mini' to the 'Curve' which has a unique shape that hugs the waist of the user.

Dominic and Liza were also intrigued to find out about the viral video that had featured Trabasack. The Brett Domino video has had 400,000 views on You Tube and has even been posted on Justin Timberlake's website. http://www.trabasack.co.uk/content/brett-domino-jt-trabas...

"The fact that is so versatile should mean you have lots of success" encouraged Dominic. Clare was also able to publicly thank supporters, Unltd, the charity for social entrepreneurs, Buckingham Healthcare, the Bioscience iNet and Leicester De Montfort University. There were also hints about their new product which is currently in development.
