Aug. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- AngelNews, the leading online news service for investors and entrepreneurs has announced a national roll-out of its successful series of events, ‘Pitching for Management, Not Money’ in association with Intramezzo and The Boulevard.

On September 28th 2010, Bristol will be the first city to host the popular event outside London.  ‘Pitching for Management, Not Money’ will be held at Smith & Williamson offices, Portwall Place, BS1 6NA and is also supported by Burges Salmon and Business Link South West.

‘Pitching for Management, Not Money’ events allow fast-growing businesses to pitch for highly-experienced executives to join their teams in salaried, sweat equity or commissioned-based roles.  There are no success fees and candidates contact the businesses directly.

Audience members offer a range of skills from sales, marketing and finance directors to mentors, non-executive directors and CEOs.

‘Pitching for Management, Not Money’ was launched in January 2009 by AngelNews in association with Intramezzo and The Boulevard.  Following 9 successful events in London, with rave reviews and high demand, the events are set to run in many of the major UK cities in the next 12 months.

Debbie Dufour, Event Manager for AngelNews explained: “’Pitching for Management, Not Money’ started off as a concept that we believed should work – we were seeing high quality management without jobs, and early stage companies struggling in the recession; it seemed like a no-brainer. After a series of 9 events, the concept is now a phenomenon.  The business world loves it and the feedback we receive is really impressive.”

Jullian Preston-Powers of ThermaHelm pitched at a recent London event and said:
“Many thanks from Team ThermaHelm to the team at Angel News for the results of our recent management call at the Pitching for Management event. Following the event we were inundated with requests from 17 individuals, which resulted in the appointment of a Managing Director, Chief Operations Officer and Marketing Director.  We could not have done it without your help!"

Modwenna Rees-Mogg, Founder and CEO of AngelNews commented:
“We are delighted to be hosting ‘Pitching for Management, Not Money’ in our wonderful home town of Bristol.  Thanks to support from Burges Salmon, Business Link South West and Smith & Williamson this first launch event will be free of charge for audience attendees.

“We’ve also had interest to run the events in Nottingham, Brighton, Manchester, Edinburgh and Newcastle.”
