Children’s Book Author Signing in Prescott, AZ

Aug. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Surprise, AZ - Arizona authors Angela and Bill Kirschner will be selling and signing their latest book, Marshall Explores Arizona, at the Faire on the Square in Prescott, AZ.  The event will be held at the beautiful Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza, on September 4-6 from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 9am to 3pm on Monday.  

Marshall Explores Arizona is the first in a series of books about the United States.  Its goal is to educate children ages 3-12 in a fun and exciting way.  The authors have created lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and crafts to accompany the book.  These are available for free on their website, www.kirschnerbooks.com, and can be used to supplement classroom education plans for pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.  People of all ages will learn something about Arizona from this book.

The authors love to travel and have had the fortune to visit all 50 states.  After the birth of their son two years ago, they wanted to create a product to educate children about the different states and the wonderful attractions they have to offer.  And as a former teacher, Angela incorporated the state’s education standards into the book so that it could be used as a supplement to a school’s curriculum and is a great back to school item.

Marshall Explores Arizona is written in a unique way, with rhymes for the pre-k crowd and more in-depth text for older children.  The artist has also captured the look and feel of Arizona with full illustrations filling the pages.
