Florida taking over the NBA

Aug. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- A quick summary of the success that the state of Florida has seen in the NBA and what are the chances of them becoming a dominant state.

Florida has two NBA teams The Miami Heat and Orlando Magic these two teams have been at the forefront of the NBA in recent years.  But with the recent moves in the NBA will Florida be the best state when it comes to basketball.  

Orlando Magic has been successful to an extent over the past few years.  They made it to the finals two years ago and last year were beaten by Boston in the conference finals.  They have an All Star Center in Dwight Howard who is now a cornerstone figure for the franchise and the team has a generally good roster.

Miami Heat were champions four years ago but have failed to emulate the success ever since and have actually gone in the opposite direction in the recent years, although the only good thing about their past few years has been the progression of All Star Dwyane Wade.  He is a player that people consider of MVP calibre and one that you would rely on to take the game winner shot if it comes down to the final seconds of the game.

In the summer of 2010 it was one of the most sought after periods in free agent history this was one of the few periods where several top Marquee players were available on the market.  Even Miami's Dwyane Wade was available and was actively speaking to teams who wanted the all star to become a part of their team and improve their chances, these were teams such as New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets and Chicago Bulls who many thought were the team who he was going to sign.  But he resigned for the team that have had him since the draft.  This was the right decision as The Heat pulled a coup de grace by snapping up Chris Bosh and possibly the most coveted player in NBA history and future hall of famer Lebron James.  This has made everyone who watches the sport stand for attention as this has turned a team who were stagnant near the bottom of the tables into a potential NBA championship winning team.  Everyone will be watching to see what they do with this dream team like set-up.  It is similar to what Boston done a few years again when they signed Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett to join Paul Pierce they were called the 'Big Three.  The Miami three have already been coined as the 'The Three Kings'

You could hope to watch either one of these teams why not wait until they face in Orlando as they are in a newly built arena also add to the fact because of the Marquee signings Miami is going to be sold out for quite some time.  You could stay at Orlando’s vacation rentals, with many situated nearby the popular theme parks so you can make it a family outing.

When you put into it in to retrospective terms in Florida there are four out of the 12 players that were a part of the US 'redeem team' that won the Olympic gold medal, this just proves the point that now the state is dominated with high calibre players.
