Danny Glover And Vinnie Jones Star In Sci-fi Adaptation Of ‘Moby Dick’

Aug. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- A science fiction adaptation of the 19th century classic “Moby Dick,” the film is an innovative venture between US based distributor Koan and UK distributor Metrodome Distribution Ltd., with Executive Producers Gil Aglaure, Peter Urie, Joe Pia.  “Dragon Fire” is under the direction of Ryan Little (“Saints and Soldiers”).

Herman Melville’s classic novel is re-imagined in a mythical realm where Captain Ahab (Danny Glover) and crew hunt dragons for the vitriol that powers their world. Ishmael (Corey Sevier) is a charismatic harpooner who joins their quest along with Ahab’s beautiful and tough adopted daughter Rachel (Sofia Pernas), who runs the hunting vessel.  Ahab’s obsession -- to seek revenge on a great “White Dragon” that slaughtered his family when he was young and left his body scarred and disfigured -- drives the crew deeper into the unknown.
