Follow on Google News | Jennifer Logue uses Kickstarter to Finance New AlbumIn an ever- changing music industry, artists need to get creative in order to survive and keep the music playing. Singer/Songwriter Jennifer Logue is doing just that by reaching out to fans to fund her latest recording project, The Split Sessions.
By: Jacqueline Anderson When you're a one stop shop, it becomes difficult to get anything done in a timely manner, being confronted with both human limitations (you can't do it all and do it all well) and with financial limitations. So when the going gets tough, indie musicians like Jennifer Logue get crafty. To fund her latest recording project, The Split Sessions, Jennifer is reaching out to fans to raise $2000 in one month on Kickstarter. "Sometimes, you need a little help from your friends," she says. "The only thing greater than the power of an individual is the power of community working together for a common goal." The campaign is set to start on Monday, August 16th and will run until Thursday, September 16th. The money raised will go towards the recording, mixing, and mastering of the album. Contributions can be anywhere from $1 to $100 and supporters will definitely not walk away empty handed. "We've included loads of gifts for people who donate. From getting autographed copies of the album to exclusive footage of us recording in Virginia, there are a lot of creative ways to say thank you. The top contributors will even get a home- cooked meal by me, so that's pretty exciting."
