Steve Candland to Deliver Workshop at ASA's Staffing World Conference

SPG Managed Services, the Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management Services division of Solomon Page Group, announced today that Steve Candland, Managing Director, will be leading a workshop at the American Staffing Association's World Conference.

Aug. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- The Staffing World Conference is one of the largest gatherings of executives and other professionals in the Staffing Industry and is being held on October 12 - 15, 2010 in Las Vegas.  The workshop is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday, October 14th from 2:30 - 3:45 pm and is entitled, "VMS: Evolve Your Business to Capture Revenue and Profit" and is being co-delivered by Deon Barber, President, Enterprise Staffing from the Bartech Group.

Staffing Industry Analysts predict that four out of five large companies will be using Vendor Management Systems to manage their contingent workforce by the end of next year.  "The VMS/MSP models have evolved due to the increasing demand by customers to gain visibility, control and transparency over the utilization of their contingent workforce needs, including: temporary employees, independent contractors, payrollees, professional service consultants, interns and part-time workers, " said Candland.  "Many traditional staffing firms have struggled to find their place and to make the necessary changes required in order to compete profitably within this new delivery model."

During the Workshop, Candland and Barber will share tangible steps for executives and managers to consider when structuring their internal staffing company recruiting and sales organizations to adapt to VMS business.  They will also address the project management support required for successful transformation along with the specific data needed to respond to the high volume requirements of a VMS driven demand.  Attendees will learn how to sell to a new breed of decision makers in procurement and human resource departments, and how to manage new kinds of client relationships along with competitive advantages for small and disadvantaged staffing firms.
